Built for commercial specialty MGAs in the US

A feed of jobs coverbinder did today across an MGA's binders: a broker email turned into a work item, an ACORD application read, an annual report read for D&O, a policy bound with its certificate and invoice, a risk referred for being outside authority and a bordereau reconciled.

From broker email to carrier bordereau.

The whole life of a policy in one system, so nothing gets rekeyed between steps.

Broker emails land in your underwriting mailbox and become work items. The insured is matched, duplicates are caught and the application is read into fields.

A broker submission email arrives in the underwriting mailbox with an ACORD application attached. It becomes a work item, the insured is matched to an existing account, and the application is read into fields. Each field shows its confidence and the page it came from. One low-confidence figure is held for the underwriter to confirm.

It reads the file so you can underwrite it.

Most of a submission is reading. coverbinder reads it, pulls out what matters for the rater and shows you where every figure came from.

Shows its working

Every extracted value links back to the page it came from.

Holds back when unsure

Low-confidence fields wait for an underwriter before they reach the rater.

For your capacity providers

The MGA your carriers want to renew.

Clean bordereaux and a clear audit trail are what keep binding authority in place. coverbinder gives you both without extra work.

A monthly premium bordereau for a binding authority builds itself row by row from the month's new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations. Cancellations go in as negative premium. The total reconciles to the ledger and the bordereau is sent to the capacity provider.

Bordereaux that reconcile

New business, endorsements and cancellations in one run, built from the ledger you invoice from. Sent as Excel to each carrier.

An append-only audit log fills with each change: a premium override, a peer review sign-off, a bind and a commission rate change. Each entry records who made it, their role and the value before and after. A user without permission to change binder capacity is stopped, and the attempt is logged too.

Every change on record

Role-based permissions, MFA and an append-only audit log of who changed what, when, and the values before and after.

Before you ask

The questions MGAs ask first.

Which lines does coverbinder support?
Raters for general liability, directors and officers and commercial property today. The platform is built so each product has its own form schema, rater and documents. Ask us about your lines.
Can we use our own rates and guidelines?
Yes. Rates, factors, minimums and authority limits are configuration, set per product by your team.
Do brokers need to change how they submit?
No. They keep emailing your submissions inbox. coverbinder reads what they already send.
How do surplus lines taxes and fees work?
Taxes, fees and surcharges are configurable and invoiced separately from premium. They are kept off premium on the bordereau.
How do I know the AI got it right?
Every value links to the page it was read from and carries a confidence score. Anything below the line waits for an underwriter to confirm.
Is it secure enough for our carriers?
Every user signs in with MFA. Access is role-based down to each action, and every write is recorded in an append-only audit log your carriers can review.
